Overview   Objectives  
    TITLE 49--TRANSPORTATION CHAPTER II--FEDERAL RAILROAD ADMINISTRATION, DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION PART 214--RAILROAD WORKPLACE SAFETY--General Sec. 214.1 Purpose and scope. 
The purpose of this part is to prevent accidents and casualties to employees involved in certain railroad inspection, maintenance and construction activities. 
This part prescribes minimum Federal safety standards for the railroad workplace safety subjects. 

This course will cover the 214 standard and how it applies to contractors that work for the railroads.
